Account Director
The Account Director's role is to lead and support the White Sheep Isobar's relationship with 3-4 incredible clients. The AD sets the working style for the team, drives the overall strategic direction and is tasked with being a marketing partner for the senior clients. The AD is an expert in the Clients' businesses and is the clear leader on the business with the Clients and within the Agency. To be successful, this individual is ultimately responsible for being the marketing consultant to the Client and is charged with all general management aspects of the team, including team collaboration, team harmony, big-picture strategic thinking, and financial performance.
Key areas of responsibility
- Build trusting, collaborative relationships with Clients of all levels
- Successfully represent the Client's business when reviewing work and leverages this perspective when providing feedback to team. Ultimately focused on doing the best work for the Client's business
- Lead overarching strategic thinking for creative, own/bought/earned media and new technologies
- Provides strategic support for agency recommendations
- Develop specific, measurable client business objectives
- Train, motivate, develop and evaluate team members to a high level of performance
- Demonstrates and teaches how to think strategically.
- Deploys internal tools and frameworks in day-to-day account work
- Keeps the account and project manager teams involved and excited
- Initiate long-term projects that will contribute to greater agency revenue and profits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8-10+ years of solid, progressive client management experience
- Minimum 5 years in a marketing environment in an account, project or marketing manager role.
- Deep knowledge and experience with multi-channel marketing, digital focus appreciated
- Natural leader who can collaboratively and effectively lead an agency team of 8-12+ people to generate measurable results
- Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results
- Proven ability to think strategically, and the ability to teach others to think strategically
- Commitment to delivering creative solutions, and the ability to align team members behind creative solutions
- High-level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (Entourage on Mac)
